Day 1: Sapa – Thanh Phu village – Sin Chai village
Morning activities
Plan to leave Sapa town with our guide and driver to transfer you to Ban Ho village. See the scenery around the village and Ban Ho Valley and learn more about the Tay people and their landscape. Watch the locals work in their fields, in addition to wet rice, they also grow a variety of corn, sweet potatoes, seasonal fruits, and different vegetables. You start trekking to Thanh Phu village. Lunch on the way
Afternoon and evening activities
In the afternoon, continue walking to Sin Chai Village, you will have more time to enjoy the beauty of the village and learn more about the Hong Dao ethnic minorities. Stay at the B&B and have dinner with your family.
The evening is a time when you can talk, meet and interact with the locals and learn more about their work and culture. Overnight in a stilt house.
Day 2: Sin Chai – My Son – Sapa (B/L)
Morning activities
Wake up early and feel the vibe between the countryside and the mountains. Afterward, you will enjoy the beautiful view of the terraced rice fields in the valley as you walk from Sin Chai village to My Son village in Nam Sai commune (30 km from Sapa town center). People here only grow rice once a year and rotate some types of corn, potatoes, chickens, pigs, goats, etc. to make a living.
My Son is the homeland of the Xafo or Phu La ethnic group. They migrated to Vietnam about 200 to 300 years ago from southern Asian islands such as Malaysia and Indonesia. More trips to Nam Toong, home of the Red Taoists, and more beautiful sights to visit. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the go.
Afternoon activities
Continue to visit the villages and then to Ban Ho, where you can swim if the weather permits.
You then meet your driver at the main road to take you back to Sapa town, passing through the beautiful scenery of rice terraces, hills, and villages at the foot of the mountain. You’ll be back in Sapa by the end of the afternoon and have a great time trekking through remote villages.
