Day 1: Lao Cai – Bac Ha Town – Trek Up Na Lo – Thai Giang Pho
Morning activities:
Our guide and driver pick you up at Lao Cai station and shower in the morning after a night of sleep on the train to regain your spirits. Breakfast at a local restaurant.
Then move to Bac Ha town, 60km from Lao Cai, and start the trekking route from here. You will walk 6km and pass through the Tay Na Lo village before reaching the Thai village of Giang Pho. This is your chance to enjoy the beautiful terraced parks as well as the mountainous area.
Continue the trekking route to come to Nhy Phong Cho village, which is located in the quintessential town of Phu La, and see the whole town of Bac Ha from above. Picnic lunch on the way.
Afternoon & Evening Activities:
Continue your walking journey to Lau Thi Ngai village of Hoa H’mong people and see different views of terraced fields while working in the fields.
Then you also walk to Ban Pho village, home to the Hoa H’Mong people, where you spend the night. Dinner with family and overnight at stilt house.
Day 2: More Trek Ban Pho – Quan Din Ngai – Hoang Thu Pho – Bac Ha Town – Lao Cai
Morning activities
After that, enjoy the morning experience in the mountain village and enjoy the fresh air of the daily morning and local life.
You continue a 1-hour trekking journey from Pho village to Quan Din Ngai village of the Hoa H’Mong people. More opportunities to learn more about their daily life, work, and cultures. They are very friendly to interact with and understand you. Along the walking route, you will have time to enjoy the wonderful natural scenery of the mountains and valleys as you hike for 2 hours toward Hoang Thu Pho village to visit a small waterfall. Have a picnic lunch here and admire the terraced fields.
Evening activities
In the afternoon, you will visit the village and then return to Ban Pho village and return to Bac Ha Town again to return to Lao Cai station. You take the night train back to Hanoi or continue your journey to Sapa town to discover more about this famous town.
- Special Note: This fence line has good weather. If the weather does not permit, we will provide you with another easy ride near Bac Ha town.
